Hey guys I will be in Wellington to watch the All Blacks vs. South Africa-Tri Nations series. Will take a sign-Murphys Misfits so keep an eye out for the sign?
Tri Nations begins this week-July 10 in Auckland-ABs vs SA. Go the All Blacks.

Thanks for the touch, BBQ and send off. Like I keep saying the club is in good heart the best it has been for years. We are still talking about the trip to Milan. A great mix of Expats and Bulgarians and things are very good. I will keep up to date viewing the web site.
Once again thanks for being a bunch of Misfits and remember Rugby is the Source.

Misfits return from Milano

A Big Success!

A big thanks to the committee for getting this trip off the ground and sending a team to the Milano 7′s.
A special mention to Stefan D, Pavel and Ivo for doing a lot of work behind the scenes

Some Facts:
Played 8-Won 2 by default ( they were scared), Drew-1, Lost-5
Played in the shield division after pool play
We did play the Cup and Plate winners in our pool games
Some slept in tents and some in hotels
The hotel was a 30 minute walk away
A beer was 3.50 euros
Milan is a beautiful city so are the women and they dress real nice
We entered one team of 15 players
Injuries-Andy, Peter O, Ivo-knees, Lubo K-hamstring, Big Lincoln-badly grazed knees, Little Lincoln-badly grazed nose, Jumbita-blisters on feet, Stefan D-heat exhaustion, Stefan K-ankle
Andy and Peter went to the hospital in an ambulance and waited for 6 hours
Did Murray score a try 40 metres out-Lincoln definitely score over 40 metres out
We did have 3 women travel with the team
We did have a women play for us in the last game
Stefan H and Ani slipped away early Sunday morning for romantic Venice
We did party 3 nights in a row
Olivier organised oranges
Pavel played even with sore ribs.
We did have a court session
There was a river next to the grounds and players swam in the river
The grounds were hard, dry, dusty and the weather was so hot-hence heat exhaustion
We ate pizza and sanwiches at the grounds
There were so many people Saturday night-you had to cue for 45 minutes to get a beer

Well this is just a few things that happened and as I said it was a good tournament and fun was had by all.
Hopefully this is the start on travelling to tournaments. Maybe to London Irish next????
You definitely need to take a big squad to tournaments

Misfits vs. Merlins Invitational

Merlins was a very well drilled, fit, fast and very organised team. The Misfits came out to play in the 1st half and found themselves seeing the backs of the Merlins crossing the try line at a regular pace. In fact the Merlins were up 57 -0 at half time.
It was time to work out what was going wrong with the Misfits. We were far too soft in the 1st half and allowed the Merlins to dominate in all phases and it was very difficult for the Misfits to get their hands on the ball and retain the little ball they did manage to get.
2nd half the Misfits had to stand up and show a bit more heart and balls on the field. We were too soft in the 1st half and were getting pushed all over the field especially at ruck time. The boys did step up and got more physical around the ruck and maul area and started retaining and actually winning some ball. The other thing is the missed tackle and when we missed a tackle with a team this fast and fit we paid dearly. Final score 85-10 (2nd half-28-10-respectable)
But once again-we were great hosts on and off the field, Thanks to Lubo we played on a very nice pitch-very wide and we actually had spectators cheering us on. It always amazes the opposition when they get to play and have Mt Vitosha in thier sites.

Once again-thanks to the committee for organising the pitch, beers, kit, water, after match function, merchandise and referees. In fact we had 3 available referees-cheers Myles, Rueben and Vesso. But a big thanks to the Misfits and Mercury players-great to have a squad of 22 and to Krassie our import for the day.

Congratulations Misfits | Поздравления, Мисфитс

A very good weekend of rugby for the Misfits. Thanks to all the boys who helped prepare for the games on Saturday. It was a great team effort on and off the field. The team was buzzing and you could feel this after the game and then again at Murphys. It must have been a good night or morning (I heard some people arrived home at 6am). Thanks to Myles for refereeing and Vesso(one arm setting up field). Cheers to Branko for putting on some beers and food for the boys-JJ Murphys is a true sponsor of the Misfits!

Good sale of t- shirts on Saturday-once again good job Andy and thanks to the guys who helped pitch in and help sell some merchandise.
Games this Saturday against the Welsh and I think the Misfits are excited about this game and eager to get out there and show their stuff. Great to have the Mercury boys and NSA U-20 along and hope we see them on Saturday. There will be a 10 leva field leva to help with match day costs-beer, water, Doctor, field etc.

Have a look at the new trophy cabinet in Murphys-it is in the non smoking section. Looks good-Cheers Stefan D for getting this project together and completed.

Milan is around the corner-not long until June 4 and the Misfits go on tour. See Pavel for information and updates.

Busy time over the next few weeks:
Saturday May 22-3pm-Bistritsa-The Welsh are coming
Friday May 28-6:30pm-The English are coming
Friday June 4-Monday June 7-The Misfits are going to Milan
Friday June 11-8pm-Murray will have a few farewell beers

Kids Rugby
I will get an email early in the week to let everyone know of time for kids rugby
This weekend
May 22-10:30am-NSA-Myles, Cyril and Mark will run kids rugby.

Come along and support the club-brings the kids to kids rugby, come to watch or play on Saturday, come down to Murphys for the after match. Branko has kindly put on some beers and food for the teams.

Unfortunately I will not be here on Saturday as I will be in Riga with my High School Girls tennis team at a tournament.

Много добър ръгби уикенд за Мисфитс. Благодарности на всички момчета, които помогнаха с подготовката за мачовете в събота. Чудесни отборни усилия на и извън терена. Всичко в отбора жужи и това можеше да се усети и след мача, и в Мърфис вечерта. Беше една добра вечер или сутрин (дочух, че някои са се прибрали вкъщи в 6 сутринта). Благодарности на Майлс за съдийството и на Весо (начерта терена дори и с една контузена ръка). Големи благодарности и на Бранко за предоставените бири и хапване за момчетата – Джей Джей Мърфис е един истински спонсор на Мисфитс!

Добра продажба на тениски в събота – отново добра работа, Анди, и благодаря на всички момчета, които помогнаха с продажбата на мърчандайза.
Ще имаме мач срещу отбор от Уелс и мисля, че Мисфитс са развълнувани да излезат и да покажат какво могат. Супер е, че Меркурий и юношите на НСА помогат и се надявам да ги видя отново тази събота. Ще събираме по 10 лева такса за да покрием разходите за терена, бира, вода, лекар, терен и т.н.

Хвърлете по един поглед на новата витрина за купи в Мърфис - при масите за непушачи. Изглежда добре – браво на Стефан Д. за реализирането по проекта.

Милано е съвсем близо – не остава много време до 4-ти юни и Misfits заминаваме! Говорете с Павел за повече информация.

Детско ръгби
Ще изпратя имейл през седмицата за да уведомя всички от колко започва тази седмица
22-ри май – 10:30 часа – НСА – Майлс, Сирил и Марк ще тренират децата.

Елате и подкрепете клуба – водете децата на детско ръгби, елате да играете или да гледате в събота, идвайте в Мърфис за третото полувреме. Бранко ще почерпи с бири и хапване отборите.

За съжаление няма да съм тук събота, ще бъда на турнир в Рига с тенис отбора на гимназията.

Gabrovo Trip

We will meet at Macedonia Square at 09:30.

French Invasion

We have been taken over by the French-where did they all come from. Good to see and young guys as well and they can run fast. Good for us Old fellas!

Ivo has calendars available to buy-5 leva each-bargain-good present for friends.

Andy has merchandise to sell. Great mugs/cups-once again good presents for Xmas.

Turkey Bowl and Bus Pub Crawl

Any feedback on the Turkey Bowl. I saw Reuben and he said it was a great day and things went very well. We need someone to write a report about the day and maybe even some comments from the US Embassy.

Bus pub crawl-I see we have may seats available-Pavel maybe you could bring along some more friends!!! Lets go Misfits and see if we can fill up the bus.

See you Saturday. It looks like the snow is around the corner????
